Altar Servers

Step Up and Make an Impact!

Serving at the altar is more than just helping out — it's a unique ministry that requires dedication and offers a beautiful way to grow in your faith, build great friendships, and gain confidence through leadership. Other than priests and deacons, no one else is closer to the sacrifice of Christ on the altar. We invite our young parishioners to step up as leaders in our parish and make a real difference in our celebration of the Mass.

Who Can Serve?

  • Sacraments: Altar Servers must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, and Holy Communion.
  • Grade: Students may begin this ministry upon starting the 3rd grade (Middle Schoolers are highly encouraged to join!).
  • Experience: No experience? No problem! We provide full, step-by-step training. New servers are always paired with experienced ones so they feel completely confident.

Why kids (and parents!) love it:

  • Earn Service Hours: We provide certificates for school or other programs.
  • Zero Cost to Families: We provide the official alb (robe), so there is no financial investment required.
  • You Are in Control:  We will coordinate the schedule around your family's unique demands and extracurriculars based on the availability sheet you'll fill out once a quarter.

"The altar server occupies a privileged place in the liturgical celebration... Above all, you are servers of Jesus Christ, of the eternal high Priest.”

Altar Server Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for calling me to serve you at Your Holy Altar during the celebration of the Eucharist.

I know that the priest takes Your place when, together with Your people and in the name of the Church, He makes present again Your Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

Help me to carry out my role with prayerful dignity and participation in this memorial of the Last Supper. Let me remain close to you on earth that one day I may share in Your glory.

Amen!
