We aim to encourage each other and our children on our spiritual journey towards Heaven, especially as parents, grandparents, and guardians of young people. 

Designed in hopes of building community between young families in our parish, this group meets quarterly for spiritual and fellowship opportunities. Whether you're joining us with a newly baptized infant or you're a grandparent with three grandchildren in tow, we are all the Church, and the Church is so much richer with you as a part of it!

We started this group in 2024 based on a simple question - what does this parish have to offer new/young families? This question was a few years in the making after the birth of our son in 2022. We found the Mass time that lined up well with his nap schedule, figured out the parts of the Mass he could pay attention during, and came up with things to keep him occupied during the parts he couldn't. But week after week, we found ourselves surrounded by other families following the same path - being bold enough to bring even the youngest members of their family to spend time with Jesus each week. And week after week, we would find ourselves giving a knowing, "Peace be with you!" without ever putting a name to the familiar faces, or worse, finding the courage to ask someone for their name and then forgetting it a week later! 

So finally, we asked ourselves the question of what the parish had available to people in our own demographic, and the answer was not much! But God calls us to give not just our treasure, but of our time and talents as well, so we sat down with Fr. Rich and came up with the idea for this group!

What began as a group to meet and get to know other families has continued to grow and be encouraged by our parish. We believe putting time, effort, and resources into our families when our newest members are young will build a sense of community and lasting relationships between the families of our parish, so we are able to encourage, support, and pray for one another on our faith journeys. We hope to show our youngest members (and remind those that care for them), that this is their Church just as much as it is ours, that they belong in those pews no matter how much they may struggle to sit still, and that being a part of what Jesus Christ Himself founded is still the best thing we can do for our children.
